Pre-Production Begins For Heathen Apostles’ “Strange Flowers” Video
Pre-production has begun for the new video for the upcoming Heathen Apostles single Strange Flowers, on Ratchet Blade Records. The video will be directed by the band and will be shot over two weeks in April, check back for a release date for both the video and single.
Heathen Apostles Filming In Salem, Massachusetts
Happy New Year to all! Mather Louth and Chopper Franklin have spent part of the holiday in Salem, Massachusetts filming footage for an upcoming video project. They shot at Proctor’s Ledge, recently discovered as the actual site of the Salem Witch Trial hangings, and the Burying Point, the Salem graveyard where several participants in the Salem Witch Trials are buried. Chopper Sits in With The Blue Shadows
Chopper Franklin sat in with the Blue Shadows (Javier Matos, John Bazz and Bill Bateman) at their record release show at Viva Cantina Saturday (effectively making it the Doghouse Lords for three songs). They played .44 Gun, Georgia Chain Gang and HUD, watch a fan video of Georgia Chain Gang below.
The Passing of “Misery & Gin” Video Star Luz
Luz, who was of the actors in the Heathen Apostles’ Misery & Gin music video, passed away on November 18th. Here are comments from Mather and Chopper:
Mather: Completely in shock…rest in peace, talented and gentle soul. I will never forget how much you said you loved our version of Misery and Gin, and how it made you cry….I am crying for you now. Thank you for giving us your artistry- this video will seek to offer you a small sense of immortality.

Video Shoot For Heathen Apostles “Albatross” Single
The video shoot for the promo video for the upcoming Heathen Apostles single Albatross is under way, it is being shot in sea caves up the California coast and also features underwater video shot in Hollywood, Ca. The Albatross single will be out on Friday December 9th on Ratchet Blade Records.
Heathen Apostles’ “Misery and Gin” Video Is Now Live
The video for the new Heathen Apostles’ EP “Misery and Gin” (their tribute to the late, great Merle Haggard) is now live, the release will be out July 22nd, 2016 on Ratchet Blade Records. The “Misery and Gin” music video is another one of their Victorian tales of the Gothic Wild West.

The Heathen Apostles shot the footage for an upcoming promo video short for their upcoming EP Misery and Gin. It was shot in 110 degree heat in Palmdale, Ca. by Lawrence Drayton and will be released shortly. The band will be shooting the full length music video beginning June 27th and the Misery and Gin EP will be released on July 22nd on Ratchet Blade Records. Check back for more details.

The day has come for the debut of the new Heathen Apostles video for their version of Loretta Lynn’s Fist City! It was directed by the band and shot by Harmony Gerber and features a cameo by the notorious Phantom of the Black Hills (fellow Ratchet Blade Records labelmates).
